Untutored Still Life Drawing
Each month Arthouse Northside hosts an untutored still life drawing session inside the shop.
We will set up an arrangement for you to draw to help exercise those sketching muscles.
Choose from the following ticket options:
BYO - pay a small fee to attend and bring your own supplies
Have Your Materials Supplied - Arthouse Northside will provide you with quality drawing paper, crayons and pens for you to sketch with for a small fee.
There is always the option to purchase your own materials in the shop before or during the class too.

Visit your local, family owned artshop when you drop in to visit local art studios as part of Sandgate Creative Trails.
Acrylic Mediums Demonstration
Artist and owner of Arthouse Northside, Leah Gay, will demonstrate the versatility of acrylic paints using gel and texture pastes plus some fluid mediums.
During this demonstration there will be an opportunity to touch the mediums and experience the different feel.

Following the demonstration there will be a free VIP shopping experience with Leah where you will have the chance to pick her brains on all things acrylics.

Mixing Mediums with Leah Gay
Explore combining acrylic with pencil, ink, oil pastel, collage and embroidery in this mixed media workshop by Brisbane artist, Leah Gay.
Taking inspiration from a still life arrangement we will use different mediums to document tone and texture in layers.
Mediums we will use include:
acrylic ink
inktense pencils
watersoluable graphite
oil pastel
collage
embroidery
All materials will be provided for this workshop.
Please bring an apron, pencil and notepad for taking notes.
